Hi, I’m Renée Huse
I didn’t set out to be a mentor, and I’m still not sure I fit the traditional definition of a coach.
What I am good at is asking questions. Honest ones. Sometimes uncomfortable ones. I listen closely, filter what actually applies, and then I move quickly. I’ve always loved sharing what I’m learning, the ideas I’m testing and the action plans that turn clarity into momentum.
I built my mortgage business to roughly $100 million in about five years. As the business grew, the challenges I was facing changed and evolved. I realized I didn’t need more referral partners or technology. What I needed were real conversations with brokers who were willing to be honest about how they were actually running and scaling their mortgage businesses.
This industry doesn’t always celebrate transparency. But I knew it was needed, so I decided to go first and start sharing everything about my business—what was working, what wasn’t, and the work behind the numbers. Not just the highlight reel.
In October 2024, I spoke at an MPC breakout session about my journey to $100M. I shared it all.
After that, brokers across the country started reaching out and sharing what was actually breaking down in their businesses. They shared, they asked questions, it was amazing.
Today, what I do is simply an extension of how it started a few years ago. I create space. I ask good questions. I share what I’m doing and what is working (or better yet, not working). I help people filter noise from signal and turn insight into action.
People sometimes call that coaching. I think of it more as organized collaboration.
